Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This policy explains what information Chase Seven ("Chase Seven", "we",
"us") collects when you use our website and mobile app (together, the
"Service"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to
collect only what we need to run the game.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
-
Display name. The name you enter to join a game. It
is shown to other players in that game.
-
Account details (optional). If you create an
account, we store your email address and any name associated with
it so you can sign in and keep your history across devices.
-
Chat messages. Messages you send in a game's chat,
together with the name they are posted under. They are visible to
everyone in that game.
Information created as you play
-
Gameplay data. The state of your games — cards,
turns, scores, wins and losses — while a game is in progress.
-
Match history & statistics. When a game
finishes, signed-in players get a saved record: final score,
placement, whether they won, per-game tallies (such as sevens and
busts), and a head-to-head record against the human opponents they
faced.
Information collected automatically
-
Device identifier. We create a random identifier
and store it on your device (in local storage on the web, or on-device
storage in the app) so we can reconnect you to your seat in a game.
It is not a hardware ID and does not identify you personally.
-
Push notification token (mobile app). If you enable
notifications, we store the token needed to deliver them (for
example, to tell you it's your turn).
-
Abuse-prevention data. We keep short-lived counters
(for example, on game-code lookups) to protect the Service from
abuse.
We do not collect your precise location or contacts,
and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
2. How we use your information
- To run games, keep score, and reconnect you to games you're in.
- To deliver in-game chat between players.
- To maintain your match history, statistics and rivalries.
-
To send notifications you've opted into (such as turn reminders).
- To keep the Service secure, reliable and free from abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for
advertising.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases:
performance of a contract (providing the game you
asked to play), our legitimate interests (running,
securing and improving the Service), consent (for
example, push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time), and
legal obligations where relevant.
4. How long we keep it
-
Active games and their chat are temporary. A game
and its messages are deleted automatically about 24 hours after the
game finishes, or after 6 hours of inactivity if it never ends.
-
Match history, statistics and account data are kept
while your account exists, so your record persists. You can ask us to
delete them (see "Your rights").
-
The device identifier stays on your device until you
clear your browser storage or uninstall the app.
5. How we share information
With other players. Your display name, in-game
actions and chat messages are visible to the other players in your
game.
With service providers. We use trusted third parties
to operate the Service, and they process data only on our behalf:
-
our backend and database provider, which stores
game state, accounts, chat and statistics;
- our web hosting provider, which serves the site;
-
app distribution and push-notification providers
(such as the mobile app store and notification services), used to
deliver the app and any notifications you enable.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the
rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process and store data on servers located in other
countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such
transfers.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect
your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely
secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Chase Seven is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age
required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data,
contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access,
correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or
restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- edit or clear your display name and chat name in the app;
-
clear your browser storage or uninstall the app to remove the
on-device identifier;
-
contact us to access or delete your account, match history and
statistics.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise
the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be
highlighted in the Service.
